The Lockdown Theatre Company
We are a stupid response to all the theatres closing. A way to pay a few actors to self-tape a few scripts. In the end we made 20 films in 20 weeks. So 20 actors got paid. This podcast is where we're heading next. A way to get the existing work out. And a space to create new work. And, as ever, we don't really know what we're doing. We just know we're doing it. Any other questions, you'll have to ask The Giant Yellow Rabbit Of Redundancy.

Picture the scene.
Chekhov is on a Zoom call with his Muse. It's really early on in his career, and his Muse is trying to help him map out a way forward.
This kind of thing goes on all the time with Great Writers and their Muses but never before has there been an actual recording of such a pivotal cultural moment.
Obviously there will be many people who will say that this recording is a fake. But why not have a listen and judge for yourself?
Chekhov is played by the fabulous Tim Stark. His Muse is played by the possibly even more fabulous Lucianne McEvoy.
I wrote the script, and for reasons that escape me now, decided that Chekhov was, in fact, a native of Romford.
